Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino believes there were multiple, ahem, situations in the bedroom with castmates Vinny Guadagnino and Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio during the early days of their “Jersey Shore” fame.
The reality star, 41 — who is gearing up for the release of his memoir, “Reality Check: Making the Best of the Situation — How I Overcame Addiction, Loss, and Prison” — reveals on Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast that he recently tallied how many sex parties the boys threw back in the day.
“I did recently tell Vinny and Pauly [that I was including one orgy in the book] and Pauly chuckled, and Vinny was like, ‘Was there more than one?’” Sorrentino says.
“When I spoke to the boys, me and Pauly were like, ‘There might have been more than one, yeah.’”
“Instead of being graphic and being like, ‘OK, we had this orgy,’ I described it as [with] the immortal Biggie Smalls’ quote that ‘you get your friends and I’ll get my friends and we can be friends,’” he says. “So therefore, I finessed in a way that you’re like, ‘Wow, what just happened?’”
The author adds with a laugh, “But also, it’s an orgy!”
“Reality Check” also covers the “emergency” sex tape he kept in his office as an “insurance policy” when he was financially strapped. Sorrentino never sold it, however, because the offers from porn studios didn’t justify the potential backlash that its release would incite.
He clarifies the video in question did not include participation from his “Jersey Shore” comrades.
“We never recorded any of the ‘MVP’ stuff,” he says, referencing the acronym that he, Guadagnino and DelVecchio call themselves, using the initials of their first names.
Rather, the sex tape starred roughly six to 10 unknown women.
“There were conversations in the midst of, like, ‘How are we even going to accomplish said mass [orgy]?’ It’s … like a mass orgy of nine plus me or 10 plus me,” recalls the dad of two, who is currently expecting baby No. 3 with his pregnant wife, Lauren Sorrentino.
“A threesome was a slow night. A lot of the times, it was upwards of six to 10 women in the room at a time. Again, a lot of the times, feasibly, that’s not realistic to accomplish said goal. My eyes were definitely bigger than my head.”
“Reality Check” — which Mike describes as a “crazy page-turner” — hits bookshelves Tuesday.
