Angelina Jolie praised her daughter Vivienne’s abilities as a production assistant after working together on the Broadway musical “The Outsiders.”
The “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider” star was joined by the show’s composer Justin Levine while speaking about her 15-year-old at the New York City premiere Thursday.
“Viv ended up more with Justin than with me, so you can tell by choice of attire which team she’s on. … She’s on the music, writer and greaser team,” Jolie explained to “Extra,” referring to the blue jumpsuit Vivienne wore to the event.
The Oscar winner, 48, beamed with pride as she called her daughter a “wise little greaser” in a nod to the characters in the stage adaptation of S.E. Hinton’s famed 1967 book.

Levine, who arranged the music and wrote the lyrics for the musical, also raved about Vivienne’s talents.
“Let me tell you something about Viv,” he began. “Viv is one of the greatest humans I’ve ever met and somebody who is an observer and who sees people and sees the world in a way that, you know, I think, so much about this show is reconnecting with your inner child.”
He continued, “To have the privilege of working alongside this brilliant 15-year-old and hear her perspective and also learn the lesson of, you know, speaking when you have something to say or learning how to give energy into a space … I just think she’s one of the wisest little greasers I’ve ever met.”
Jolie returned the compliments right back to the Tony winner and explained how he has taught her so much.
“I’ve learned so much from this man, from Justin, and from everybody in this cast and crew, and I feel like I’ve gone back to school to learn a lot about what it is to be an artist and to create a piece of work, and I’m just very, very privileged to be here,” she gushed.
Vivienne joined her mother on the red carpet to celebrate the opening night of the production at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre.
The teen looked like the spitting image of both her parents, Jolie and Brad Pitt, as she posed for photos.
Meanwhile, Jolie looked stunning in a bronze gown layered under a brown cape, accessorizing with large silver geometric statement earrings.
Jolie shares Vivienne, her twin brother, Knox, and four other children — Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, and Shiloh, 17 — with her ex-husband Pitt.
