Things seem to have dried up in the love boat before Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor jumped ship.
On Tuesday’s episode of “The Valley,” the pair opened up about their lack of intimacy during the year leading up to their split.
“When Jax and I first met, it was awesome. We were having sex all the time, 24/7, and I mean, we didn’t miss a day,” Cartwright, 35, recalled in a confessional. “And then, it has just changed dramatically. I’m talking twice in the past year.”

At another point in the episode, Taylor, 44, also articulated his frustrations with their activity level in the bedroom.
“I feel like we got to schedule it,” he told co-stars Danny Booko and Jesse Lally.
He, too, said they used to have sex quite frequently (three or four times a day, to be exact). “…And now it’s like, did we do it this month?” he explained.
Taylor also spoke about their lack of intimacy during a one-on-one chat with Bravo cameras and took some of the blame.
“The romantic spark is just not there right now,” he noted. “I will take blame, yeah, I let that spark fizzle. It’s just not fair to either one of us. Especially, it’s not fair to my wife because she deserves to have a man be loving for her.”
He said having a child also complicated their sex life. “Your sex life and your marriage kind of take a back seat when you have a child,” he reasoned. “It’s a big deal and I don’t want it to become a bigger deal.”
The pair welcomed their first child, a son named Cruz Michael Cauchi, in April 2021.
Last month, Cartwright exclusively revealed to Page Six that their minimal sex life was part of the reason for their split.
“We’ve been together nine years, and people stop appreciating and take you for granted after some time — and that should never happen in a marriage,” she said.
“So that’s what I’m trying to get back, and if it doesn’t come back, then we won’t get back together.”
She also previously stated that Taylor’s alleged lack of effort to work on their marriage contributed to the demise of their relationship.
“I’ve asked him for a while to do certain things and nothing has come from that,” she told TMZ. “Whenever you fight with somebody for so long, there’s only so much you can take, and you know, I deserve better, [our 2-year-old son] Cruz deserves better.”
The mother of one announced their decision to separate on their joint podcast, “When Reality Hits With Jax and Brittany,” in February.
“Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health,” she noted.
Neither Taylor nor Cartwright have filed for or mentioned divorce.
The pair got engaged in 2018 after meeting in 2015.
They tied the knot in June 2019 in Cartwright’s home state of Kentucky.
