Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s estranged husband, Ryan Anderson, said he was “blindsided” by their split and how quickly she rekindled her romance with ex-fiancé Ken Urker.
“I’m not doing well with it,” he told the Daily Mail in an interview published Friday. “For me it just came out of the blue. I had no idea she still had such strong feelings for him.”
Blanchard, 32, got engaged to Urker in 2018 while she was still in prison for plotting the 2015 stabbing death of her abusive mom, Dee Dee Blanchard. They seemingly broke up at some point in 2019.

Anderson, 37, got in contact with the ex-con via snail mail in 2020 while she was behind bars and their relationship blossomed from there. They tied the knot in 2022, and he was there to take her home when she was released from Missouri’s Chillicothe Correctional Center in December 2023.
This week, though, Blanchard and Urker were spotted hand-in-hand as they ran errands at a Dollar General in South Louisiana shortly after they got matching husky tattoos.
“I haven’t spoken to her, so I just don’t know what’s going on,” Anderson added about the situation. “I’m at a loss. I’m really not doing well at all.”

According to the Mail, they split about two weeks ago and Blanchard moved into her father and stepmother’s home in Cut Off, La., which is about three hours from where she and Anderson resided in Lake Charles.
The star announced their breakup on her personal Facebook page, just days after she deleted her uber-popular public social media pages.
“People have been asking what is going on in my life,” she reportedly wrote. “Unfortunately my husband and I are going through a separation and I moved in with my parents home down the bayou.”
“I am learning to listen to my heart. Right now I need time to let myself find… who I am.”
While Anderson may be devastated by Blanchard’s decision to leave their marriage, her father, Rod Blanchard, previously expressed doubts about their union.
“Personally, I give it a 50/50 chance that it’s going to work,” he told People ahead of his daughter’s prison release in December 2023. “She can be spontaneous and make a quick decision and just jump into things without thinking.”
He also said she thought moving in with Anderson right out of prison was the wrong decision.
“She’s grown, and she was told what to do all her life,” he noted.
“We wish she wouldn’t have, but like I told her, if it doesn’t work out, I’ll be there to help pick up the pieces.”
After her release from prison, Blanchard and the special needs teacher made their red carpet debut at Lifetime’s “Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard” premiere in January.
They also made headlines when she bragged about their “fire” sex life on social media.
