Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s father isn’t shocked over her reported split from her husband, Ryan Scott Anderson.
In a December 2023 interview with People ahead of his daughter’s release from prison, Rod Blanchard admitted he wasn’t so sure her and Anderon’s union would last.
“Personally, I give it a 50/50 chance that it’s going to work,” he told the publication. “She can be spontaneous and make a quick decision and just jump into things without thinking.”

He theorized the 32-year-old ex-con would fare best if she took things slowly as she adjusted to life outside her prison cell, including her relationship with Anderson.
“I wish she would have came home here and when her being on parole was over, live with him, just live with him, learn him,” he explained.

After thanking her family and friends for their “support,” she concluded, “I am learning to listen to my heart. Right now I need time to let myself find… who I am.”
The estranged couple met in 2020 after Anderson sent her a letter while she was serving her 10-year sentence for the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. They tied the knot in 2022.
The pair seemed happy in January at Lifetime’s “Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard” premiere, where they make their red carpet debut.
Ahead of their big night, Gypsy made headlines for bragging about their sex life to get back at haters.
“Ryan, don’t listen to the haters. I love you, and you love me,” she wrote in an Instagram comment on his page. “We do not owe anyone anything. Our family is who matters. … I love you
