Whoopi Goldberg is grateful she discovered the weight-loss drug Mounjaro.

“I was 300 pounds,” the “View” co-host told Page Six exclusively at the Gardens of Laughs gala on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden. “I was like, ‘Oh, please, God, make this work.'”

Goldberg, 68, explained that the Type 2 diabetes medication was “the only way [doctors] could jumpstart [her] system,” adding that it made her “metabolism move” after being on steroids following back surgery.

“It was a lot of weight for me to be carrying, and I didn’t realize how much weight I was carrying,” she admitted to Page Six. “I mean, I saw myself every day, but it didn’t look strange to me, and then I couldn’t breathe.”

The “Sister Act” star is not the only celebrity to shed pounds via weight-loss drugs like Mounjaro and Ozempic.

Her “View” co-host Sunny Hostin as well as Elon Musk, Sharon Osbourne and Amy Schumer have all copped to trying variations of tirzepatide or semaglutide.

Oprah Winfrey even hosted an ABC special talking about the benefits of the controversial medications.

Goldberg also talked to Page Six about her forthcoming memoir, “Bits and Pieces: My Mother, My Brother, and Me,” which focuses on mourning her late family members.

“It’s about how I couldn’t figure out how I wasn’t dealing with it,” she shared, “and I thought I was, but I realized I needed to write stuff down.”

She added that she noticed herself “forgetting” memories about her mom and brother that she “didn’t want to forget,” so she “wrote about them.”

The “Ghost” star shared that the three of them always had each other, so when the two died, she was left wondering, “‘Why did you leave me?'”

However, she was quick to add that “it’s no request to go anytime soon.”

Goldberg joined other stars, including Jon Stewart, Tracy Morgan, Edie Falco, Ben Stiller, Bill Burr and Steve Schirripa, at the MSG benefit to raise funds for children in need.
