It turns out Tracy Morgan can’t out-eat Ozempic after all.
After the comedian claimed he gained 40 pounds while using the Type 2 diabetes drug that has become a game-changing weight-loss aid, he clarified that did not happen at all.
“That was just a joke,” he told E! News Wednesday at the Garden of Laughs Comedy Benefit in New York City. “Ozempic did great by me and I was glad to use it.”
Morgan, 55, went on to say Ozempic cut his appetite “in half.”

Morgan is far from the first celebrity to admit to using Ozempic and similar weight-loss drugs to shed some excess pounds.
In April 2023, the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Dolores Cantina said she utilized the medication to slim down ahead of the Season 13 reunion.
Chelsea Handler revealed she used the generic version, Semaglutide, without realizing it, while Sheryl Underwood confirmed she dropped 100 pounds while taking the weight loss drug Wegovy.
Although some stars have seen positive results from Ozempic and similar medications, others have warned fans about the serious side effects that can sometimes accompany such prescriptions.
Sharone Osbourne used a weight-loss drug to lose 30 pounds in 2023 but said she ended up losing too much weight and got “very sick.”
“The first couple of months, I just felt nauseous. Every day I felt nauseous, my stomach was upset, whatever,” she recalled on UK’s “The Talk” in May 2023.
Comedian Amy Schumer had a similar reaction. “I was one of those people that felt so sick and couldn’t play with my son,” she recalled in a June 2023 episode of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.”
“I was so skinny, and he’s throwing a ball at me, and [I couldn’t].”
