Kate Middleton’s uncle Gary Goldsmith is not a fan of Meghan Markle.
The “Celebrity Big Brother” alum slammed the Duchess of Sussex, whom he nicknamed “laughing girl,” and her marriage to Prince Harry in a new interview with the Times.
“Let’s face it, Laughing Girl isn’t going to be around forever, is she?” he told the outlet. “I think she’s fickle. And I think she’s so bad for Harry and for our country.”
Goldsmith, 58, said he didn’t appreciate the fact that Markle, 42, accused members of the royal family of making racist remarks about her son Archie’s skin color ahead of his May 2019 birth. (Markle never disclosed the names of the alleged racist royals, however, Dutch copies of Omid Scobie’s new biography, “Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival” claimed it was Middleton and King Charles III.)

Goldsmith claimed the Duke of Sussex, 39, and his wife “are chasing the American corporate dollar and that is so, so ugly.”
“[Prince] William, Harry and Kate were such a happy little trio and it got totally ruined,” he added. “With all that going on — and there is other stuff going on that is not in the public domain — are they at their absolute happiest? No. Their kids bring them a lot of joy, but no.”
The Times noted that the interview was conducted before Middleton, also 42, announced she had been diagnosed with cancer on Friday.
“In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous,” the Princess of Wales said in the video message. “The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present.”
Middleton said she was advised by her medical teams to “undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy,” which she said she is now in the early stages of.
After the princess’s shocking announcement, Goldsmith took to X to share that he would be pulling out of the UK “Celebrity Big Brother” final on Friday night.
“Following today’s news, I will not be attending tonight’s Celebrity Big Brother final,” he wrote.
“I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to my fellow Housemates and to everyone involved in the making of this brilliant show,” he added. “I hope you all enjoy your special night.”
Meanwhile, Middleton’s brother-in-law and Markle sent her public well wishes and reached out privately despite their strained relationship.
