Following weeks of speculation and conspiracy theories, Kate announced in an emotional video message that she had been diagnosed with cancer shortly after having abdominal surgery in January.
“My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment,” the princess said in the clip.
Kate explained she and Prince William had not shared the news with the public earlier because they wanted to take their time explaining the ordeal to their three kids: Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5.
