Kate Middleton revealed her cancer diagnosis to the world on Friday — after explaining her condition to her three children.

The Princess of Wales noted in her announcement video that it took her and her husband, Prince William, “time to explain everything” to their little ones in an “appropriate” manner, hence her step back from the public eye in January.

“As I have said to them, I am well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that
will help me heal in my mind, body and spirits,” the 42-year-old explained of her conversations with Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5.

The royal is now in the “early stages” of her treatment.

Middleton’s announcement comes after a slew of social media conspiracy theories questioning her well-being, which ramped up after a heavily edited UK Mother’s Day photo was released on March 10.

Her and William’s ensuing visit to a Windsor farmer’s market only added fuel to the fire, as trolls believed a body double was used.

Notably, King Charles III shared a cancer diagnosis of his own in February.

Middleton has been “thinking of all those whose lives have been affected by cancer” as she and the 75-year-old monarch battle the disease.

“For everyone facing this disease, in whatever form, please do not lose faith or hope,” she said Friday. “You are not alone.”
