Kris Jenner’s lesser-known niece, Natalie Zettel, expressed her grief in a heartbreaking tribute to her late mother, Karen Houghton, who died at age 65.
“I can’t believe your [sic] gone. This doesn’t even feel real. I keep hoping that I will get to hug you or kiss you or hear your voice one last time,” Zettel began a lengthy Instagram caption Tuesday, which she wrote alongside a carousel of photos of Houghton.
“You were my best friend, my everything. The best mother a daughter could ever ask for and I’m so grateful to have had a mother like you,” she continued.

Jenner, from whom Houghton was mostly estranged, announced her sister’s death earlier Tuesday.
“It is with the heaviest heart and deepest sadness that I share that my sister Karen passed away yesterday unexpectedly,” the famed momager, 68, wrote in a heartfelt Instagram post alongside a slideshow of photos of family members posing with Houghton over the years.
“My heart aches for my mom MJ and my niece Natalie and I pray that God guides us all through this difficult time. Karen was beautiful inside and out.”
Despite the emotional tribute, it is unclear whether Jenner and Houghton, who once described her older sister as “not warm and funny,” ever made amends.
They were, however, seen posing together with other family members in an image shared via Instagram Stories on Christmas in 2019.
