Derek Hough revealed there is a chance his wife, Hayley Erbert, will return to the stage for their summertime Symphony of Dance Tour after undergoing several brain surgeries.
“There’s a strong possibility,” the “Dancing With the Stars” judge told E! News Wednesday as he prepares to restart the tour in May after taking a months-long break to help his wife recover.
Holding onto a bit of optimism, he gushed, “I almost need to rename the tour to the Miracle Tour or something — because if there’s a moment where she’s with us and joining us on stage, it’s going to be unbelievably special.”

Hough has repeatedly referred to his wife as a “miracle” ever since she underwent emergency brain surgery in December 2023 after becoming “disoriented” during their tour.
Explaining her condition on Instagram at the time, he wrote, “She was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma from a burst blood vessel and required an emergency craniectomy.”
Per the Mayo Clinic, the condition is a collection of blood within the brain tissue or under the skull that puts pressure on the brain.
A few days later, Hough revealed the professional dancer underwent another surgery to “replace a large portion of her skull that was removed during her craniectomy.”
Erbert got candid about her health scare last month while showing off her new buzzcut, telling her followers she is “grateful to be alive.”
“To this day, I still have really good days and I have really bad days — emotionally and physically. But I’m doing so much better every single day,” she said in a clip alongside her husband.
