TikTok star Leah Smith has died at 22 from stage 4 bone cancer.

“I’m sad to say that she passed away today around half-eleven this morning,” her boyfriend, Andrew, announced Monday in a video he shared on her page, which boasts 525,000 followers.

“I just want to say thank you to everyone. All your comments did help, like, she did actually read all of them,” he continued.

“Anyone who said anything nice ever, it means more than you realize. We’ll all miss Leah but we’ll make sure that we never forget her.”

Smith documented her journey with Ewing Sarcoma, which “begins as a growth of cells in the bones and the soft tissue around the bones,” according to Mayo Clinic, beginning in 2019.

After being in the clear for more than a year, she discovered the cancer had come back in 2022. “In the space of a week I went from living my crazy life to back to square one,” she lamented in a February 2022 TikTok.

Nearly two years later, in January, the Liverpool native told fans her cancer was taking a serious toll on her.

“I’m not well again. I hate this, like I’ve been in bed for about a week since coming home from the hospital. And then I go sleep and wake up even worse than I did feel the night before. I’m so unwell,” she shared.

Smith was back in the hospital by February, and on Feb. 8, announced that her cancer had spread.

“They have changed my pain meds finally…my doctor said just worry about the pain for now but this feels like the bigginging (sic) of the end knowing it will likely never go,” she explained, adding that there’s a small chance for a miracle.

Ten days later, the social media star shared some unsettling news. “Update that I didn’t think I ever wanted to do … the doctors have said there’s no point trying to give me more antibiotics and fluids because it just isn’t working anymore,” she explained.

“All the pain meds aren’t working so they really just want to get me to a comfortable state as much as possible,” she continued.

“Idk what this means for me if this is the end of the journey but all my family have came (sic) around and I am just going to act like I’m good and great because quite frankly I am so so scared,” Smith added. “I don’t want to d!e (sic) yet. I’m sorry.”

By Feb. 22, her brother, Liam, and friend, Vikki, began sharing updates about Smith, reasoning that she was too delirious from her medications to share information on her own.

Shortly before her death, Vikki told fans Smith “was on the end of life now” and “unable to move or talk.”

“I forgot to mention, Leah is surrounded by sunflowers in her room, and pictures … of all of her memories,” she added.

“She’s in such a comfortable and peaceful place.”
