Emma Stone gave a touching shout-out to her and husband Dave McCary’s toddler daughter, Louise, during her 2024 Oscars acceptance speech at the 96th annual Academy Awards on Sunday night.
“I really just want to thank my family — my mom, my brother Spencer, my dad, my husband Dave. I love you so much. And most importantly, my daughter, who’s going to be three in three days, who has turned our lives technicolor,” Stone, 35, said through tears.
She added, “I love you bigger than the whole sky my girl, so thank you so much.”
Stone was accepting the award for best actress for her role in the Yorgos Lanthimos-directed film, “Poor Things.” She beat out nominees Lily Gladstone, Annette Bening, Carey Mulligan and Sandra Hüller.

The “Cruella” actress also asked the crowd not to look at her dress, which she ripped at some point during the star-studded ceremony.
“Oh no my dress is broken. I think it happened during ‘I’m Just Ken,'” she said, referring to Ryan Gosling’s live performance of his song from “Barbie” earlier in the evening.
The Hollywood starlet wore a stunning mint green strapless gown with a peplum bodice by Louis Vuitton paired with a sparkling 30-carat yellow diamond choker necklace.
This is Stone’s second Oscar win as she took home the Academy Award for best actress for her role in the 2016 musical film, “La La Land.”
Stone and McCary, 38, quietly welcomed their daughter in March 2021 after staying quite private about her pregnancy.
Louise’s name was revealed on her birth certificate in May of that year. The child’s middle name, Jean, is also the middle name of Stone and her mother, Krista Jean Stone.
The “Easy A” star is known for keeping her personal life out of the spotlight. She married McCary in a secret wedding in September 2020 after postponing their nuptials for six months amid the coronavirus pandemic.
In 2019, the former segment director on “Saturday Night Live” had proposed to Stone with a pearl engagement ring in his “SNL” office where they first met when she hosted the show in 2016.
The couple first sparked dating rumors in October 2017.
