Three’s a crowd.
Country musician Kane Brown revealed that he got a vasectomy after learning that his wife, Katelyn Jae, was pregnant with their third child.
“I’m scared for three [kids]. I guess it was God’s plan,” the 30-year-old said on the “Bobby Bones Show” Thursday. “Kate got me neutered already.”
Brown — who shares daughters Kingsley, 4, and Kodi, 2, with Jae, 31 — then shared details about the “wild” way he learned that he was going to be a dad of three.
The “Heaven” singer said he was flying via private plane to Michael Jordan’s golf course when his wife called him to share the news. However, the call dropped right after Jae told him she thought she was pregnant.
“So on the whole flight down, I’m like, ‘Oh my God, like, what’s going on? … I hope that she’s wrong,” he recalled before adding, “So, she lands, and then she’s pregnant.”
Brown admitted that he and Jae were not planning to welcome a third child into their family at that time but they became excited when they learned the gender of the baby.
“We had two girls. We weren’t trying this time. My game if you know what I’m talking about is strong,” he joked.
“It turns out it’s a boy.”
As they waited for their son’s arrival, Jae, who is also a singer, urged her husband to get a vasectomy — a form of male birth control that cuts the supply of sperm to your semen — so they wouldn’t have any more surprises.
“They gave me gas or whatever, but I’m laying on my back and I have a nurse over me and a doctor,” Brown recalled of the procedure.
“They’re just talking about their day and I’m just laying on this table.”
The “I Can Feel It” singer said he was “sky high” while lying in a “spread eagle” position.
Brown and Jae tied the knot in October 2018 after nearly two years together.
They welcomed their first child, Kingsley, in October 2019 followed by daughter Kodi in December 2021.
In December 2023, they announced they were expecting their third baby and the following month, they revealed that they were having a boy.
