She bleeds Chiefs red.
On Thursday, Sports Illustrated announced that Brittany Mahomes will make her debut in the 2024 Swimsuit Issue as a rookie in the iconic magazine’s 60th anniversary issue this May.
And, of course, the mom of two wears nothing but Kansas City Chiefs colors in a teaser clip shared by the brand on Instagram ahead of the 2024 Super Bowl, which will see her husband, Patrick Mahomes, facing off against the San Francisco 49ers.
Mahomes, 28, wears a series of fiery designs including a strappy one-piece by Mugler, a Natalia Fedner knit bikini, a crocheted two-piece with rosette accents and more.
Lensed by Derek Kettela in San Pedro Ambergris Caye, Belize, the personal trainer describes herself as “unapologetically always myself in any setting” and encourages other women to “be confident in who you are.”
“People are going to love you or hate you, but finding your values and what makes you ‘you’ to be the best version of yourself is what really matters,” she says, possibly referring to some backlash she’s received over the years from “haters” and service workers with whom she’s interacted.
“Whether that’s health and wellness, being a great wife or mom, or career goals, being the best version of you is the most important thing you can be,” she concluded.
SI Swim Editor-in-Chief MJ Day gushed over the former soccer player, saying, “Owner of the Kansas City Current NWSL team, former pro athlete, wife and mother, Brittany emerges as the epitome of a modern-day powerhouse.
“Founder of the world’s first ever dedicated stadium for women’s sports, Brittany’s journey has surpassed all expectations, inspiring others with her tenacity and unyielding determination.”
Mahomes joins Lori Harvey, who is also part of the 2024 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue rookie class and even modeled some of her own bikini designs for her shoot.
