Alice Evans shared a personal update just a few days after her ex-husband, Ioan Gruffudd, got engaged.
The “102 Dalmatians” actress posted a series of photos on Instagram Monday of her beloved dog, Emma, getting groomed.
Evans gushed about how much her pup enjoyed the experience despite not liking baths or nail trims, noting that Emma was still getting “comfortable” with her “new haircut.”
In the comments section, a fan asked the “Vampire Diaries” alum how she and her two daughters, Ella, 14, and Elsie, 10, were doing.
“We’re good thank you!” Evans, 55, replied.
Another follower raved about how the dog has “been the best friend and family” that the family has “needed over the last few years.”
“She really has. It’s amazing seeing what it has done for the girls – how having Emma has injected positivity and love and security into their lives. I’m so glad we got her!” Evans responded.
The “Abduction Club” star also agreed with a fan who noted that a dog will “never let you down,” adding in another comment how she is “quite proud of our little fam!”
Evans has not publicly addressed her ex’s engagement following their lengthy and tumultuous divorce.
Gruffudd, 50, announced Saturday that he had proposed to his girlfriend of nearly three years, Bianca Wallace.
“The most precious thing happened,” the couple captioned a joint Instagram post of them kissing as Wallace, 31, showed off her diamond.
The “Fantastic Four” actor confirmed his romance with Wallace in October 2021, and it didn’t take long for Evans to accuse him of having a three-year affair with her ex-friend.
“So it turns out that my husband, after two years of telling me I’m a bad person and I’m not exciting and he no longer want so to have sex with me and he just wants to be on set abroad…Has been in a relationship for THREE years behind all our backs,” she wrote in a since-deleted tweet at the time.
Prior to Gruffudd’s relationship with Wallace, Evans also claimed that he had left her and their daughters, leaving the three of them “very confused and sad.”
“We haven’t been given a reason except that he ‘no longer loves me,'” she tweeted in January 2021.
Two months later, Gruffudd filed for divorce from Evans.
The split got even messier when the “Titanic” actor filed for a restraining order against his estranged wife in February 2022.
Gruffudd was granted a three-year order six months later after claiming Evans had “threatened to tell people [her] had abused her and [their] daughters” and “threatened to tell people [he was] a drug addict.”
The exes finalized their divorce in July 2023, but they have yet to reach a child custody agreement.
Their legal battle reached a new low when their eldest daughter, Ella, attempted to get a restraining order against her dad, citing alleged abuse. However, her request was not granted.
