Talk about a little black dress.
Nicole Kidman wowed in a bold black gown at the premiere of her latest TV series, “Expats” in New York City Sunday, showing off some skin in her slinky Atelier Versace design.
The 56-year-old “Big Little Lies” star turned heads in a completely backless dress with a high slit as she walked the red carpet for the event, which was held at the Museum of Modern Art.
The gown brought back memories of another famous Versace design, with the look’s cutout sides reminiscent of the famous safety pin dress Elizabeth Hurley wore in the ’90s.
Kidman’s dress featured an added fun detail, with the inside of the dress lined in a pale green silk that was visible when she posed.
The “Stepford Wives” star did bring a long black Versace coat to ward off the freezing New York night, draping it over one shoulder as she arrived at the museum.
She wore her hair down over one shoulder, accessorizing with long Roberto Coin diamond earrings and a blinged-out watch along with two glittering Roberto Coin diamond bracelets and a coordinating ring.
Kidman finished her look off with classic black pointed pumps, wearing glowing makeup in shades of bronze and berry.
Kidman plays a wealthy expatriate living in Hong Kong in the Amazon drama, which is based on the novel “The Expatriates” by Janice Y.K. Lee.
And while she showed off plenty of skin at the show’s premiere, the Australian actress covered up during a recent beach day with husband Keith Urban and their 13-year-old daughter, Faith, wearing a long-sleeved rash guard, shorts and a hat to protect herself from the sun.
Although she typically keeps it casual at her $6.5 million Australian farmhouse, maybe she’ll take her new gown out for a spin to feed the goats.
