Donald Trump is more concerned about the upcoming New Hampshire primary than his name appearing in the newly unsealed court papers related to the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, a source tells Pvnew.
There has never been evidence of any wrongdoing by Trump. But the former president was a social acquaintance of the financier’s before his fall from grace, and Trump’s name comes up in the trove of newly released documents from court cases relating to Epstein and his one-time girlfriend and co-conspirator, Ghislaine Maxwell.
The names mentioned in the papers include those of some of Epstein and Maxwell’s victims, supposed friends and acquaintances of Epstein, some of his staff and others, as well as some people suspected of having improper relations with minors, such as Prince Andrew. (The British royal has firmly denied wrongdoing).
Others include Bill Clinton, Cate Blanchett, Leonardo DiCaprio, Naomi Campbell, none of whom have been accused of wrongdoing.
Trump is among the many rich and famous folks who knew the late pedophile. The pair had known each other socially since 1987, and the former president had even flown on his jet, known as the Lolita Express, multiple times, according to publicly released flight logs.
But the new docs aren’t getting much of Trump’s attention, we’re told.
“Trump doesn’t care,” says our source. “There’s nothing new or bad [in the new files.]”
“Trump has got enough on his plate right now to worry about. He has a primary coming up,” says the source, who notes that his campaign insiders are worried about Republican Nikki Haley.
Haley is polling just a few points behind Trump in New Hampshire with the Presidential primary vote coming up quickly on January 23.
Jeffrey’s brother Mark Epstein, told The Post this week that his brother had plenty of incendiary info on both Trump and the Clintons.
“Here’s a direct quote: ‘If I said what I know about both candidates, they’d have to cancel the election.’ That’s what Jeffrey told me in 2016,” he said.
He further said he did not know what the information was.
In the new documents, alleged Epstein victim Johanna Sjoberg recounts during a May 2016 deposition, Epstein suggesting they go to Trump’s casino after being unable to land their plane in New York.
“I’ve known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy,” Trump told New York magazine of his relationship with Epstein in 2002. “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it — Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”
After Epstein was arrested in 2019 for the second time and charged with sex crimes involving underage girls, Trump changed his tuned. “I was not a fan of his, that I can tell you,” he said.
Epstein was first arrested in Palm Beach in 2005 and found guilty of procuring and soliciting a 14-year-old girl for prostitution.
Trump and Epstein reportedly fell out when they had a fight over a Palm Beach mansion in 2004.
Some 200 documents relating to Epstein are expected to be released in total, including depositions and legal motions. Some 170 associates of Epstein have been named in the papers so far including Michael Jackson, magician David Copperfield, Stephen Hawking, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak. None have been accused of wrongdoing.
Kevin Spacey, Bruce Willis and “Star Wars” director George Lucas are also named and not accused of wrongdoing.
According to the documents, a lawyer asked Epstein’s accuser Johanna Sjoberg if she had met actors Blanchett or DiCaprio. Sjoberg said, “I did not meet them, no. When I spoke about them, it was when I was massaging him [Epstein], and he would get off – he would be on the phone a lot at that time, and one time he said: ‘Oh, that was Leonardo,’ or, ‘That was Cate Blanchett or Bruce Willis.’ That kind of thing.”
The judge in the case, Loretta A. Preska, has said the the new documents that are being released, “for the most part, did not include salacious material about individuals other than Mr. Epstein,” reports the New York Times.
Epstein hanged himself in his prison cell in August 2019.
