Jessie James Decker is dealing with carpal tunnel syndrome during her fourth pregnancy.
On Thursday, the country singer revealed she has been experiencing “unbearable” pain due to the condition, which is caused by a pinched nerve in the wrist.
“This is getting unbearable, its shooting up/ throbbing up to my shoulders now,” she wrote on her Instagram Story atop a photo of her wrist in a black brace.
“I can’t sleep because I can’t sleep on my side with carpal tunnel. Can’t sleep on my back because I’m pregnant. I’m literally sleeping upright.”
Symptoms of carpal tunnel can include numbness, tingling and weakness in the hand and arm, per the Mayo Clinic. While treatment options vary based on the level of severity, mild cases can be treated in one to two weeks while more serious cases may even need surgery.
Despite the pain, Decker seems to believe she is on the road to recovery, which makes her “feel so sorry for people who live like this on a daily basis.”
While it’s unclear how long the singer has been dealing with carpal tunnel, she also posted a photo of herself wearing wrist braces in October — just two weeks after telling People that her current pregnancy was “the easiest of all of them.”
The “I Look So Good” singer — who is already the mother of daughter Vivianne, 9, son Eric Jr., 8, and son Forrest, 5, with husband Eric Decker — announced in August that she and the former NFL player were expecting baby No. 4.
Although Jessie and Eric are “grateful” to be adding another Decker to the mix, the mother of three said she was “very, very, very surprised” to find out she was pregnant.
“It was not planned,” she told her Instagram followers at the time.
“As you know, I had been telling Eric it was probably time to get a vasectomy because I felt like we were done,” she explained. “But I just feel like God always has other plans. It was extremely shocking and surprising but [we are] happy excited.”
Then last month, Jessie revealed on the “Today” show that she and Eric were having another baby boy.
“Yup, we’re having another boy,” the Kittenish creator told Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager after dropping a hint about the baby’s sex a few days prior. “Vivi remains queen.”
However, after the arrival of their little one, the twosome is officially done expanding their brood.
Jessie told Us Weekly that there is absolutely “no way” she will consider having a fifth child, noting that she and Eric are “good with four.”
On top of that, she said their house simply can’t accommodate anymore mayhem and they “would have to move” into a bigger home if they had any more children.
The couple have been together since 2011 after meeting through mutual friends. They got engaged the following year and tied the knot in 2013.
