It turns out even the WAGs are on team Tayvis.
Erin Andrews shared a little bit of insight into what the other wives of girlfriends of NFL stars think about Taylor Swift’s headline-making romance with Travis Kelce.
During Wednesday’s episode of her “Calm Down” podcast, the sportscaster told co-host Charissa Thompson she “got a little intel from some WAGs out in Philly” while attending the Philadelphia Eagles game against the San Francisco 49ers.
“Somebody asked in front of me what the gals on their team thought and they were like, ‘Love it. Adorable.’ And they were like, ‘You know why? Because that’s a man, and she’s with him.'”
“Here’s a good take from an NFL WAG, which I loved, she said, ‘For the first time, publicly, it seems like [Taylor’s] with a guy that’s not like, ‘Ugh yeah, I’m with Taylor, don’t take my picture. I’m at the concert.'”
While Andrews, 45, refused to elaborate on which women she overheard, Kelce’s older brother, Jason Kelce, notably plays for the Eagles.
Both Andrews and Thompson have been vocal in their support of Kelce’s romance with the 12-time Grammy winner, telling listeners they “love” the two together.
In fact, after Kelce, 34, admitted to getting shot down by the singer, 33, on his “New Heights” podcast in July, the two women took to their own show to ask Swift to give their “friend” a chance.
“Taylor, I don’t know what you’re doing in your life right now besides rocking the world,” Andrews said during the Aug. 3 episode.
“Please, try our friend Travis. He is fantastic. I know we’re not the best of friends, we’re not even friends, but I consider you one. Take us up on this. Go on a date with this guy.”
While it’s unclear if their pleas had any impact on the “Cruel Summer” singer, she eventually agreed to go out with the Kansas City Chiefs player — and Andrews made sure she looked the part.
After Swift attended one of Kelce’s home games in September, the sports commentator sent the pop star several Chiefs pieces from her Wear by Erin Andrews brand.
Swift ended up wearing one of Andrew’s windbreakers to the following game — and the jacket subsequently sold out within 24 hours.
Since then, Andrews says the brand’s “sales have gone through the roof with Kansas City.”
Yet while many fans thought the “All Too Well” singer’s early trips to Arrowhead Stadium marked the very beginning of the pair’s romance, Swift revealed on Wednesday that she and Kelce were already “a couple” by then.
Swift told Time that she started talking to the tight end right after he “adorably” tried — and failed — to give her his phone number.
“We started hanging out right after that,” she explained. “So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other.”
“I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game?” she added. “We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”
