It’s her party, she can cry if she wants to.
Chrissy Teigen was in tears after seeing her late son, Jack, while undergoing a ketamine therapy session for her 38th birthday.
The “Cravings” author “saw space and time and baby jack and some weird penguins and cried and cried and cried,” she wrote via Instagram Friday, adding that she had a “really nice birthday.”
Ketamine therapy is treatment using low doses of ketamine to help with mental health conditions, from treatment-resistant depression and anxiety disorders to post-traumatic stress disorder, according to the Pacific Neuroscience Institute.
The drug, which is “a dissociative anesthetic medication,” is used at high doses in the operating room.
Teigen and her husband, John Legend, said an emotional goodbye to Jack back in 2020 after she suffered a pregnancy loss at 20 weeks.
Two years later, Teigen explained that she did not suffer a miscarriage but had to have a “life-saving” abortion due to a partial placenta abruption.
“It became very clear around halfway through that he would not survive, and that I wouldn’t either without any medical intervention,” she said at Propper Daley’s “A Day of Unreasonable Conversation” summit in September 2022.
“Let’s just call it what it was: It was an abortion,” she added at the time. “An abortion to save my life for a baby that had absolutely no chance. And to be honest, I never, ever put that together until, actually, a few months ago.”
The model, who already shared daughter Luna, 7, and son Miles, 5, with Legend when they lost Jack, continued growing her family.
The couple welcomed their rainbow baby, a daughter named Esti, in January. Five months later, son Wren arrived via surrogate.
While Teigen got to see her son during the ketamine session, she also spent her birthday with her four other children.
“Went to see my friends @flamingo_estate, had a beautiful lunch with friends,” she gushed of her birthday festivities.
“Then laid with my babies, then hot pot, then hung with my best friend
