Kourtney Kardashian touted the benefits of ingesting her “juicy placenta” after welcoming her newborn son, Rocky.
The “Kardashians” star posted a photo of her “Mommy made encapsulation” supplements to her Instagram Story on Wednesday.
“This is #NotAnAd. Just wanted to share something I found super helpful for postpartum recovery,” she captioned the photo.
Kardashian dove into some of the many health benefits of the placenta pills, claiming that they create higher energy levels, balance hormone levels, increase milk supply, decrease the chance of postpartum depression and help with losing baby weight faster.
She said that “overall” they aid in a “faster and better recovery from having the baby” for moms who just gave birth.
In another post, she shared a list of all the health benefits with a link to the products while also showing off her freshly manicured hand palming some pills.
The Poosh founder’s “juicy placenta” note was a callback to the famous prank she and her sister Kim Kardashian played when they cooked up some placenta for their family members to eat on Season 8 of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians.”
“Kim and I decide to marinate some juicy placenta and cook it up and serve it to everyone for dinner,” Kourtney said in a confessional on the now-defunct E! series.
Kourtney isn’t the only Kardashian to enjoy the health benefits of ingesting placenta as Khloé Kardashian also admitted in 2018 that she would eat her placenta just as Kim did before her.
The Lemme creator and husband Travis Barker welcomed Rocky, their first child together, on Nov. 1.
Kourtney — who also shares sons Mason, 13, and Reign, 8, and daughter Penelope, 11, with ex-partner Scott Disick — experienced difficulties during her most recent pregnancy that resulted in her needing emergency fetal surgery to save Rocky’s life.
“I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this,” Kourtney wrote on Instagram after the scare in September.
She also noted that as a woman who had three previous pregnancies that were relatively easy, she now has a newfound respect for moms who have also had struggles.
“I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear,” the reality star said. “I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant.”
Kardashian documented her pregnancy journey for fans on social media and in front of cameras. They were able to conceive once she stopped IVF and left their future to fate, announcing they were expecting in June.
The Hulu star and the Blink-182 rocker, 48, were open about trying for a baby even before they tied the knot in 2022.
Barker is already a father to two kids with ex-wife Shanna Moakler – Landon, 20, and Alabama, 17 – along with stepdaughter Atiana, 24, the model’s daughter with ex Oscar De La Hoya.
