Sarah Paulson had a photo of her girlfriend, Holland Taylor, on display in her home long before they became a couple.
“I actually had her picture on my refrigerator for 10 years before we were together,” the “American Horror Story” star revealed on “The View” Tuesday.
Paulson, 48, explained that she, Taylor, 80, and Allison Janney had gone out to dinner one time with late screenwriter Buck Henry, who snapped a picture of the trio perched on top of a Lamborghini outside the restaurant.
“He took this picture and sent us all copies, and it was on my refrigerator in my little apartment in West Hollywood for 10 years before we [started dating],” she added.
Co-host Joy Behar then asked whether Paulson had nursed a crush on the “Two and a Half Men” star.
“No, no, I didn’t,” she emphatically replied before noting that “maybe something was percolating and it was unbeknownst to me.”
The couple began dating in 2015 and have raised eyebrows for their nearly 32-year age gap.
Paulson has admitted that she hesitated to speak of their romance because people had warned her of negative press, but the two have long celebrated each other publicly.
“I am thrilled and feel very lucky to be with a person who is smarter, wiser, wittier than I,” she gushed to the “View” panel.
The “American Crime Story” star went on to describe Taylor as someone who “helps me want to be a better person and a more realized person, and she just also makes me feel seen, which I think is the most important gift you can give to any person.”
In 2021, Paulson posted a black-and-white photo on Instagram in honor of Taylor’s birthday.
“All roads lead me to this face, those eyes, that soul,” she captioned it. “You are, quite simply- everything to me. Here’s looking at you, kid. Today. Tomorrow. Always.”
The “Practice” star, for her part, called herself “the luckiest person in the world” while discussing her partner in 2017, adding, “I can’t talk about my life today and not mention this wonderful love.”
Taylor recently opened up to Pvnew about what makes the duo click.
“I think we each follow our own path so we’re not exactly the same,” the “Morning Show” star said earlier this month.
“We do some things separately so everyone gets to be true to what they believe. She’s much more social, and I like a little bit of alone time, so I have that. She spends some time with friends and not with me, so it’s a good balance.”
