Jenna Bush Hager’s 4-year-old son still sleeps in his crib – despite some people thinking he’s too old to do so.
Bush Hager and co-host Hoda Kotb were talking about how organized her kids were when Bush Hager revealed that Hal “is still in his crib” on Tuesday’s episode of “Today with Hoda & Jenna.”
“Y’all it’s normal right?” Bush Hager asked the viewers after Kotb seemed a little hesitant by the revelation.
A group of producers then all collectively shouted, “No!”
“What? I wasn’t even asking you, I was asking them,” Bush Hager said, referring to the viewers at home. “It’s normal to have a 4-year-old, your last child, nicely in his crib where he feels safe, right?”
Kotb, 59, asked Bush Hager, 41, how the little one can get up to go to the bathroom, since he’s limited by the crib’s restraints.
“He doesn’t need to, but if he ever had an accident then it happens in his crib,” she confidently replied.
Bush Hager also assured Kotb and their viewers that he likes the crib, and she’s ready to move him, but he’s “not wanting to.”
“I said, ‘Do you wanna, maybe let’s try to talk about moving you next week to your bed,’ and he said ‘not this Christmas but next Christmas,'” she said imitating his baby voice.
“He wants to be the only kindergartner in his crib. Anyway, to each their own,” she concluded.
Bush Hager also has two daughters, Margaret “Mila” Laura, 10, and Poppy Louise, 8, with husband Henry Hager.
The mom of three previously shared that she actually would “like to have another baby,” but Henry “put his foot down.”
“He says we have three healthy babies. I’m 41 [and] I had a little health stuff [while pregnant] with Hal,” she said on an Aug. 8 episode of “Today.”
