Nick Viall spent a pretty penny on his fiancée, Natalie Joy, ahead of the birth of their first child — but “frugal” Joy immediately returned the pricey item.
“Nick bought me an $8,000 Louis Vuitton bag for my push present and I was like, ‘This makes me nauseous,'” Joy, 25, said on the “Viall Files” podcast Thursday.
“I was like, ‘We gotta return this, this makes me nauseous.'”

Viall, 43, joked that he purchased the purse to “test” his fiancée — presumably to see how she would handle their shared finances — but then added that he was “just kidding.”
“I was being frugal,” Joy admitted, telling guests Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt that she had no issue asking to return it and requesting a cosmetic case instead.

“That was an experience, though, taking it back,” Viall then chimed in, with his fiancée adding that the people who worked at the Louis Vuitton store were allegedly “pissed” about the return.

“It’s almost like a shame. Like, they shame you for it,” Montag, 37, said.
Viall explained that he bought the handbag in the first place in New York because he was fresh off of a “nice little paying gig” and was “feeling generous.”
“Here she is, nine months pregnant with my child,” the “Bachelor” alum said of Joy. “It’s the least I could do, and so I bought this bag. And then, Natalie being who she is — the very frugal queen — we took it back.”
He said they then ended up buying a Louis Vuitton makeup bag that was still “very expensive,” but cost much less than the original purse.
Viall and Joy welcomed daughter River Rose in February, writing in a joint statement on Instagram at the time, “…the best part of life starts now
