Dascha Polanco is expecting her first grandchild!
The “Orange Is the New Black” star told her Instagram followers that she “just got a promotion,” as her daughter, Dasany Kristal Gonzalez, is pregnant.
Polanco, 40, posted a photo on Sept. 12 of herself cradling Gonzalez’s bump at the 21-year-old’s baby shower.
The mom-to-be wore a bedazzled blue gown in the social media upload, while the grandma-to-be matched in a halter dress and flower earrings.
Polanco disabled comments on the celebratory post.
Gonzalez announced her pregnancy earlier this month, revealing that she has a son on the way.
“We already love you to the moon and back,” she captioned her bump debut. “Countdown till your arrival.”
Gonzalez went on to write that she plans to be the “hottest mom ever” while thanking party guests for their presents.
“His closet is going to be better then [sic] mine,” she gushed. “I’m so grateful and blessed for all the support I have got, during this journey. Thank you all for the amazing gifts!”
Polanco conceived Gonzalez when she was 17, which she told Parents Latina in 2020 made her feel like “the shame of [her] family.”
The “In the Heights” star admitted, “It made me feel self-conscious and affected my confidence.”
Polanco went on to welcome her second child, a son named Aryam, at age 25. She shares him with an ex she “respects” and co-parents with without any “drama.”
