Britney Spears appears to have secrets she’s not yet ready to tell despite her highly anticipated memoir, “The Woman in Me,” being due out in a month.
“There’s so much I’ve kept private that’s gone on with me personally and maybe one day I can let people know … until then, there’s 3 sides to every story !!!” the Grammy winner, 41, cryptically wrote via her Instagram Story Monday. “Your side, my side and the truth !!!”
However, a source tells Pvnew exclusively that Spears did not hold back when writing her book.
“No topic was off limits,” the insider insists.
Spears did not go into detail in her post about what information she’s currently withholding, but she hinted it has to do with the “darker” things she’s experienced in her life.
“Most of my inner conflict with people is knowing the enemy is right in front of me but I kept them because I loved them !!!” the “Toxic” singer wrote.
“I’m extremely sensitive to anybody laughing at someone or bullying any way !!!,” she added, referencing a viral clip she previously posted on her Story of two older girls teasing a younger one by cracking an egg on her head.
Spears concluded her message by writing, “The child within is trust, the girl in the middle is the truth … watch is NOW with no sound !!!”
Pvnew reached out to reps at Simon & Schuster imprint Gallery Books, the publisher for the pop star’s upcoming tome, but they declined to comment. Spears’ rep did not immediately respond to our requests.
We broke the news in February 2022 that the Princess of Pop had signed a $15 million deal for a tell-all, just three months after her controversial 13-year conservatorship ended.
Leading up to the guardianship’s termination in November 2021, Spears divulged some of the traumatic experiences she endured while under her father Jamie Spears’ control in a bombshell court testimony.
She alleged at the time that she was a victim of “bullying” due to her dad’s “abusive” ways.
“He loved the control [he had] to hurt his own daughter, one hundred thousand percent,” Britney told the Los Angeles Superior Court during a virtual hearing in June 2021, later adding that she was allegedly forced her to use birth control in order to keep her from having kids.
Earlier this year, Britney shared via Instagram that she “worked [her] ass off” and went to therapy in order to be able to write and release her memoir.
A press release for “The Woman in Me” stated that the ” … Baby One More Time” singer’s book is “a brave and astonishingly moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith and hope.”
Britney completed the writing on her “brutally honest” memoir in April, four months before Sam Asghari filed for divorce from the “Crossroads” star.
However, Pvnew learned at the time that the split won’t affect the book’s release on Oct. 24. as the divorce details will not be included in it.
