Lala Kent shaded her ex-fiancé Randall Emmett while explaining her decision to use a sperm donor to conceive her second child.
“The best part about my baby daddy is that he does not exist. I have been pretty open about wanting to really have full control of — I guess not my child, but having them around me all the time,” the “Vanderpump Rules” star said on Amazon Live Tuesday.
Kent, 33, noted that she “went through a really hard time” after breaking up with Emmett, 52, in October 2021 and trying to co-parent with him to raise their almost 3-year-old daughter, Ocean.
“I will say, my heart will always be up for grabs. I believe in love. I know that I will find love again, but for me, my child will never be up for grabs again,” she continued.

“I don’t want to share my child again. It’s something that I’ve experienced, and I refuse to experience it again.”
The Bravolebrity explained that while she “never expected” to be raising her kids in a nontraditional way, she has both her mom and brother to help.

“I always say I’m raising my daughter Ocean, and I’ll be raising this new baby with my mom. My mom is a tremendous help, and she helps co-parent,” she said.
Kent described her current family dynamic as a “pod of orcas” where “no one ever leaves,” but they “just keep adding to it.”
“It may not look normal to most people, but Ocean and this child, they’re going to be surrounded by so much love, and I think that the word ‘dad’ is an honor and a privilege, and that word is not just something that should be handed out,” she shared.
“There are so many men in Ocean’s life that will be in this baby’s life that truly have taken on the role of a dad.”
Emmett’s rep didn’t immediately return Pvnew’s request for comment.
The “Give Them Lala” podcast host announced Sunday that she is pregnant with her second child.
“I’m expanding my pod,” she captioned a black-and-white photo of Ocean looking at her bare baby bump on Instagram.
Several of Kent’s past and current “Vanderpump Rules” co-stars congratulated her — as did Emmett’s ex-wife, Ambyr Childers, with whom he shares two daughters.
The reality star infamously called off her three-year engagement to the movie producer after he allegedly cheated on her.
Kent and Emmett have since been fighting over custody of Ocean. She told Pvnew in January that she did “not see a resolution coming anytime soon.”
