Just one day after publicly slamming Drew Barrymore, Rosie O’Donnell applauded the daytime host’s plans to postpone the return of her self-titled talk show.

“Perfect ❤️,” O’Donnell, 61, wrote via Instagram Sunday alongside a screenshot of Barrymore’s statement explaining her decision.

Barrymore announced earlier in the day that she would “pause” the Season 4 premiere of her show, which had been set to air Monday, until the ongoing writers’ and actors’ strikes conclude.

“I have no words to express my deepest apologies to anyone I have hurt and, of course, to our incredible team who works on the show and has made it what it is today,” the “Never Been Kissed” star wrote in a statement.

“We really tried to find our way forward,” she continued.

“And I truly hope for a resolution for the entire industry very soon.”

Barrymore, 48, received backlash last week after announcing her decision to resume taping of her talk show despite the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

“I own this choice,” she said in a since-deleted Instagram post.

“We are in compliance with not discussing or promoting film and television that is struck of any kind,” she added.

Among those infuriated by Barrymore’s initial stance was O’Donnell, who expressed her disdain on Instagram Saturday by posting a screenshot of a “brilliant” essay by author Elizabeth Grey.

“Stop taping the show. Stop asking audiences to cross the picket line,” the essay read.

Grey also suggested Barrymore “ask someone” to help her write an apology to the WGA and “all union members who are withstanding real hardship as [she] live[s] a life of luxury.”

In addition to the online criticism, the National Book Foundation dropped Barrymore as their host for the upcoming National Book Awards and rescinded her invitation to the show.

“The National Book Awards is an evening dedicated to celebrating the power of literature, and the incomparable contributions of writers to our culture,” the foundation shared in a statement last week.

“In light of the announcement that ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’ will resume production, the National Book Foundation has rescinded Ms. Barrymore’s invitation to host the 74th National Book Awards Ceremony.”
