Fans have been wondering if “Little Mermaid” star Halle Bailey is pregnant, and speculation was certainly swirling backstage at the recent 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.
“Halle stayed away from the pink carpet so she would not be photographed, and when she was inside, she was very mindful in the way she gave hugs, and who she gave them to,” an insider told Pvnew.
Bailey and her YouTuber and rapper beau, DDG, have been dating for a year and a half after they met in 2022 in Las Vegas to see Usher’s music residency.
VMAs viewers thought it was unusual that Bailey chose to wear a long, flowing dress as a presenter at the MTV show.
A source told us of Bailey’s look, “The orange dress flow was an indicator she was trying to hide.”
The source added that at the show, “She would keep her distance when someone got too close, and she gave out more handshakes than her [usual] enduring embraces.”
“The Little Mermaid” star appeared with her sister, Chole, to introduce a performance by Måneskin.
Rumors first began that Bailey, 23, might be expecting when she was spotted on DDG’s streaming channel last month quickly walking in the background with what appeared to be a baby bump.
Bailey’s team did not get back to us for comment.
