Jeezy has filed for divorce from wife Jeannie Mai after more than two years of marriage.
According to court docs obtained by Pvnew Friday, the “Put On” rapper — whose real name is Jay Jenkins — said that he and the former “Real” host are separated and the marriage is “irretrievably broken.”
Jeezy is seeking joint legal custody of his and Mai’s 1-year-old- daughter, Monaco. The estranged couple also have a prenuptial agreement in place, per the docs.
Reps for Mai and Jeezy did not immediately return Pvnew’s request for comment.
The “All There” emcee, 45, and the Emmy winner, 44, tied the knot in their Atlanta home on March 27, 2021, after three years of dating.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all guests had to be tested two days before.
“We were really looking forward to having all of our friends and family there to celebrate,” Mai told Vogue at the time. “But we had to change all of our wedding plans due to COVID. After Jeezy’s mother unexpectedly passed, we quickly learned that life is too short.
“And at the end of the day, Jeezy and I really just wanted to become husband and wife. So we decided to turn our original wedding into a mini-mony, where we exchanged our vows in front of our immediate family and a few close friends.”
The Grammy nominee and the TV host welcomed their child together in January 2022.
The couple, however, did not introduce Monaco to the world until five months after her birth.
“[This] might be the most exciting episode I’ve ever had here on Hello Hunnay. It’s time to share the most amazing, exciting, newest member of the Hello Hunnay family,” Mai said in a June 2022 episode of her YouTube series.
“You’re going to meet someone very, very special in my life. Somebody new, somebody shiny, somebody who smells so good, like, 5 months old good.”
This was Mai’s second marriage, as she was previously wed to Freddy Harteis for 10 years. The pair split in 2017 in part because the “How Do I Look?” alum did not want to have children.
Meanwhile, Jeezy is also a dad to three other children.
