Jax Taylor says he and Brittany Cartwright are living together again after split: ‘This is not divorce’
The “Vanderpump Rules” star, 35, shared the message one day after revealing on their podcast, “When Reality Hits With Jax and Brittany,” that they had separated after almost five years of marriage.
“Yes, marriages in general are very hard and I’ve had a particularly rough year this past year,” she explained.
“Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health.”
However, Taylor, 44, claimed to Pvnew later that night that he and the mother of one were living together.
“She was in a house for a while, but yeah, she’s back now,” he explained.
He also assured us that they were not filing for divorce, saying, “It’s just two people that you now are hitting a 10-year mark in their marriage.”
On Friday, though, a person close to the estranged couple confirmed to Pvnew that Cartwright was moving into a new rental after the lease on her previous short-term rental ended.
They also disclosed that she and Taylor have been living separately for “about a month” and are “not on a path to reconciliation” despite the former bartender’s claims.
Speaking about the recent photos of Cartwright at their shared Valley Village, Calif. home, the source added, “She was back there yesterday to pack up her stuff to go to another rental.”
“Maybe that’s why he said, ‘Oh, she’s back home now,’ because there was a day in between her rentals.”
Our insider also confirmed that the reality stars are amicably co-parenting their son, Cruz.
Cartwright and Taylor walked down the aisle in June 2019 after dating for four years. Their ceremony was featured on “Vanderpump Rules.”
The pair left the hit Bravo series in 2020 and welcomed their son in April 2021.
They are set to return to reality television this month with the “Vanderpump Rules” spinoff, “The Valley.”
The coincidental timing of their split had fans concerned it was all for publicity, but a rep for the pair denied their marital issues being related to PR “in any way.”
The series is scheduled to premiere on March 19.
