Love might not be enough to get them back together.
Brittany Cartwright claimed in a new interview that her estrange husband, Jax Taylor, is “not trying” to save their relationship after they decided to separate after nearly five years of marriage.
“It’s Jax, so he’s not really trying that much right now,” the “Vanderpump Rules” alum told TMZ Saturday.
When asked if they’d be willing to try marriage counseling, Cartwright hinted that she already suggested that approach.

A timeline of Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s rocky relationship
Brittany Cartwright moves into new rental home despite Jax Taylor saying they’re living together again post-split
“I’ve asked him for a while to do certain things and nothing has come from that,” she stated.
Giving more insight into the state of their relationship, Cartwright, 35, explained, “Whenever you fight with somebody for so long, there’s only so much you can take, and you know, I deserve better, [our 2-year-old son] Cruz deserves better.”
“We want, like, a good co-parenting relationship and I think that me moving out and taking space to figure out if this is what I want is, like, the best situation for me right now,” the reality star added.
Cartwright insisted that she still loves Taylor, but reiterated, “I just want the best for me and my son at this point. That’s like my main focus.”
“If he switches some things and changes some things about his life then maybe we can get back together,” she noted. “But right now, I don’t know.”
Confirming Pvnew’s earlier reporting, the mother of one also said their separation is “absolutely not” a publicity stunt to promote their new show, “The Valley,” which premieres March 19 on Bravo.

“This is definitely for my mental health,” Cartwright assured TMZ. “I think that’s been one of the hardest parts right now is that people are speculating that I am doing something for the show coming out.”
The Bravo star said the new series will show why she and Taylor, 44, ended up taking a break from their romantic relationship.
Cartwright and Taylor tied the knot in June 2019 in a ceremony that was featured on “Vanderpump Rules.”
They welcomed their son in April 2021, a year after announcing they were exiting the hit Bravo series.
Cartwright announced the separation on their podcast, “When Reality Hits With Jax and Brittany,” earlier this week.
“Yes, marriages in general are very hard and I’ve had a particularly rough year this past year,” she candidly reflected.
“Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health.”
Taylor told Pvnew exclusively Thursday evening that their split “is not divorce.”
“It’s not evil or nastiness,” he further alleged. “We have a child involved and we just wanna do what’s best for our kid”
Cartwright was then seen moving into a new rental, and a source exclusively told Pvnew Friday that the exes are “not on a path to reconciliation.”
