Travis Kelce is “still searching” for “The 1.”
A week before the NFL star’s rumored romance with Taylor Swift made headlines, Kelce got candid about his love life during an episode of his “New Heights” podcast.
While chatting with his brother, Jason Kelce, about his 2016 dating show, “Catching Kelce,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end admitted that he went on the reality series because he was “broke” and “needed a dollar.”
“I thought you were looking for love?” Jason retorted.
“Yeah, that too. Still searching for it,” Travis replied with a laugh.
“F—k! 10 years later and still nothing.”
However, love may be on the horizon for the single pro athlete, who has reportedly been getting closer to Swift in recent weeks.
A source told the Messenger Tuesday that Travis and the “Cruel Summer” singer “have been quietly hanging out.”
“She saw him when she was in NYC a few weeks ago,” the insider claimed.
The report came just days after celebrity gossip blog Deuxmoi received an anonymous tip claiming that the pop star had “made an appointment to go somewhere that she frequents with Travis Kelce.”
Although neither Swift nor Travis, both 33, have addressed the dating rumors, the Tru Kolors founder seemingly confirmed that he had, in fact, been in New York recently during the same podcast episode.
While discussing what else they had been up to during training camp, the Kansas City Chiefs baller played coy when asked about his whereabouts.
“I can’t remember,” Travis mused. “I don’t think I did much.”
“I think I was up in New York,” he added before quickly changing the topic.
Later on in the episode, he also hinted at a potential romance with the Grammy winner when his older brother asked whether or not he “found out what Taylor Swift thinks” about his new mustache.
“Um, yeah we are not going to bring up Taylor Swift in this episode,” Travis, who became noticeably flustered, replied with a laugh.
“But something tells me she is going to like it,” he added with a sly smile.
The dating rumors didn’t take many by surprise since the tight end publicly tried to shoot his shot with the “Love Story” singer back in July.
After attending an Eras Tour concert in Kansas City, the two-time Super Bowl champion revealed that he had planned to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his number on it.
“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” he said on the podcast, noting that he “was a little butthurt” that he “didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets [he] made for her.”
“If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets and I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it,” he continued.
When Jason tried to clarify whether Travis was talking about his jersey number or his phone number, Travis flashed a cheeky smile and replied, “You know which one.”
“She doesn’t meet anybody — or at least she didn’t want to meet me,” he added.
While Travis may consider himself unlucky in love, the football player previously dated model Kayla Nicole on and off for five years before they split for good in May 2022.
Meanwhile, the “Anti-Hero” songstress — who made history at the VMAs Tuesday night — split from longtime boyfriend Joe Alwyn at the beginning of the year.
Following her breakup from the actor, who she was with for over six years, Swift was briefly linked to the 1975’s Matty Healy.
