Gisele Bündchen is remembering her mother one month after her death.
The supermodel took to her Instagram Story Wednesday to share a throwback photo of herself leaning into her mother, Vânia Nonnenmacher, as she lovingly wrapped an arm around her shoulders.
She wrote that she missed her mother very much atop the sweet photo.
A second snapshot showed her mother smiling at her with a rainbow in the distance. “Te amo,” Bündchen added, which means, “I love you,” in English.

Nonnenmacher died at the age of 75 on Jan. 28 as she was being treated at Hospital Moinhos de Vento in Porto Alegre, Brazil. She had previously been diagnosed with cancer.
“Beloved mom, It hurts to know that I won’t be able to hug you anymore, but I know that you will always be watching over us,” the former Victoria’s Secret Angel, 43, penned in an Instagram tribute days after her mom died.
“You were an angel on earth, always helping everyone around you. I am so grateful to be your daughter and to have learned from you.”
She also praised her mom for being “the best role model of love, strength, compassion, courage, and grace.”
Bündchen had always been close to her mom and even said she gave her the “best childhood in the world” in her 2018 memoir, “Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life.”
Nonnenmacher was the mother to six girls and played a huge role in the beginning of Bündchen’s career, as she signed her and two of her sisters up for modeling courses in 1993 to help with their posture and confidence.
At the end of the course, Bündchen was discovered by Elite Model Management.

“It’s been very tough on my family. It’s been a lot — in every area of my life. I feel like whenever it rains, it pours,” she told People.
“With all the different twists and turns that life takes, all we can do is the best we can given what happens in our surroundings.”
Her father, Valdir, is still living.
