Tom Brady’s kids were by his side as his former team, the New England Patriots, honored him during the 2023 opening game at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., on Sunday.
The retired NFL star’s two sons, Benjamin, 13, and Jack, 16, and his 10-year-old daughter, Vivian, all wore Patriots jerseys emblazoned with their dad’s old number 12 as Brady received recognition during the emotional halftime ceremony.
The esteemed quarterback, 46, was seen hugging his sons and adorably kissing his daughter on the head as he stepped up to the podium following an introductory speech by Patriots CEO Robert Kraft.
In another sweet moment caught on camera, all three siblings embraced each other as Brady gave an impassioned speech in the fan-filled stadium.
“Nobody 23 years ago would imagine that this journey would bring us here today,” Brady, who won six Super Bowl championships for the team, reportedly said, adding that it was “another day in this stadium” that he will never forget.
“I think we proved to America what teamwork was all about. We proved that believing in each other, believing in playing for this community and believing in playing for a common mission, we were able to put out six of those banners, and celebrate them.”
Brady spent the first 20 seasons of his professional NFL career leading the Patriots and contributing to the franchise’s dynasty from 2001 to 2019.
However, after his relationship with Patriots coach Bill Belichick soured, Brady left the team and went on to play quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was with his new team for three seasons – even leading them to a Super Bowl win in 2021 – until officially retiring from the sport for the second time in February.
Kraft reportedly told the crowd at Sunday’s game that he wanted fans to have the opportunity to bid Brady farewell.
“Patriots fans didn’t get an opportunity to appropriately thank Tom when he left,” Kraft said, proudly announcing that Brady will be inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame next summer.
Brady shares his two youngest kids with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen, while he shares Jack with ex Bridget Moynahan.
Amid Brady’s football drama, he and the former Victoria’s Secret Angel, 43, divorced after 13 years of marriage in October 2022.
While sources claimed that Brady’s initial refusal to retire from football caused tensions in his marriage to Bünchden, the supermodel denied the claims.
Following his split from Bünchden, Brady sparked dating rumors with Brady Cooper’s ex-partner Irina Shayk over the summer. The Russian model, 37, and Cooper, 46, share 6-year-old daughter Lea De Sein.
“This is something new and at the moment it’s totally casual,” an insider told Pvnew in July.
Meanwhile, Bündchen is seemingly single. She was spotted looking absolutely jacked while leaving a gym in Miami over the weekend as her ex spent time with the kids. We think it’s safe to say all those training sessions with her jiu-jitsu instructor pal Joaquim Valente have been paying off!
