Ruby Franke has no intention of appealing her severe prison sentence, a spokesperson for her attorney shared Wednesday.
“As far as we know, Ruby Franke does not have any intentions of appealing the sentence,” the Winward Law flak told the “Today” show on Wednesday, Feb. 21.
“She has taken full responsibility for her actions and is prepared to serve her time in prison.”
A judge sentenced the disgraced “8 Passengers” star to the terms of her plea — four counts of one to 15 years, served consecutively; however, Franke will serve 30 years maximum because of a Utah law that caps imprisonment time on consecutive sentences.
The amount of time served will be decided by the Utah Board of Pardons and Parole.
During the sentencing hearing, Franke broke down in tears as she apologized to her six children for abusing them and to her estranged husband, Kevin Franke, who filed for divorce after her arrest.

Ruby Franke breaks down in tears as judge orders her to serve up to 60 years for child abuse
“To my babies, my six little chicks. You are part of me,” Ruby, 42, said in a Utah court Tuesday.
“I was the mama duck who was consistently waddling you to safety. I can see now that over the past four years, I was in a deep undercurrent that led us to danger.”
Ruby, who was arrested in August 2023 on multiple charges of child abuse alongside her former business partner, Jodi Hildebrandt, then claimed she was “so disoriented” when committing her crimes that she believed “dark was light and right was wrong.”
“I took from you, your mother. How terrifying this must have been for you,” she said during her emotional speech.
“I will never stop crying for hurting your tender souls. You’re so precious to me. I’m sorry.”
The former colleagues’ abuse came to light after one of Ruby’s “emaciated” children escaped from the ConneXions founder’s house and ran to a neighbor for help.
The neighbor discovered the victim had duct tape around his extremities and called the police.
Ruby later admitted in her plea that she would torture her children by holding their heads under water, starving them and forcing them to roast under the hot sun.
Ruby and Kevin’s four minor children have remained under the care of the state since her arrest, but the father of six is working to regain custody.
Earlier this month, Kevin filed for guardianship over his 16-year-old daughter, Abby.
