So fresh and so clean.
Russell Crowe has been rocking a bearded look for most of his career, but on Monday he debuted a clean-shaven face as he got ready for some exciting new movie roles.
“The actor prepares #20. First shave since 2019,” the “Gladiator” star, 59, captioned a photo of himself on Twitter.

In the pic, Crowe — who’s been wearing a massively bushy beard in recent years — looks decades younger as she rocks a fresh-faced appearance with just a hint of stubble.
The Oscar winner looks at the camera with a serious expression in the pic, wearing a pair of gray-rimmed glasses and a black T-shirt.
And although he mentioned not shaving since 2019, the last time the Oscar winner showed off a clean-shaven face appears to be in 2012 while promoting “Les Miserables.”
And of course, he was known for his smooth look while portraying mathematician John Nash in 2001’s “A Beautiful Mind.”
While he’s largely stayed out of the spotlight in the past four years, it seems Crowe is primed for plenty of movie action with his new look — and fans were loving it.
“20 years younger instantly!” one fan commented on Twitter, while another added, “oh THERE you are.”
“Looks good! It’s nice to change it up and shave. You have a nice face it was hiding behind all that hair,” another fan added.
While Crowe didn’t share which movie role he was preparing for with the big shave, he’s slated to play Adolf Hitler’s right-hand man Hermann Göring in “Nuremberg,” which is due to begin filming soon in Hungary.
Along with the historical drama, the Golden Globe winner has a busy schedule ahead with roles in Marvel movie “Kraven the Hunter,” which releases in August, and “The Beast in Me,” which follows an MMA fighter and is set to start filming this spring.
As for his fresh shave, we’re hoping he keeps this look for a while.
