Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan have split due to “tension” in their relationship, according to multiple insiders.
“They’re not together,” a source exclusively tells Pvnew on Monday after the “Real Housewives of Miami” star deleted all evidence of their relationship from her Instagram, sparking breakup rumors.
The source adds that they “are taking space from each other” due to the “tension” in their relationship, which was allegedly “incited” by Marcus’ dad, Michael Jordan, “publicly denouncing it.”
“Marcus said Michael was joking when he said he didn’t approve, but it really mortified Larsa,” the source explains.
Additionally, Michael’s feud with Larsa’s ex-husband, Scottie Pippen, also allegedly created friction for the couple.
“The history between Michael and Scottie made things complicated, even if Larsa and Marcus did their best to make it a non-issue,” the insider explains.
We’re told that “family comes before everything” for both Marcus and the reality star.
“At the end of the day, Michael is Marcus’ dad and Scottie is the father of Larsa’s children,” the source says, referring to Scottie and Larsa’s kids: Scottie Jr., 23, Preston, 22, Justin, 19, and Sophia, 16.
“There is a baseline loyalty for each of them that made the relationship difficult to navigate,” the insider adds.
However, a second source close to the couple told us that their split “has nothing to do with any family input, but solely for their personal growth.”
“They have decided to take some time apart to reevaluate their relationship,” the second insider stressed.
A third source close to “RHOM” production tells us that Larsa’s castmates are “surprised” by the split.
“No one saw this coming,” the third source says of their split. “It really seems like a sudden decision. There was no hint that there was trouble in paradise.”
We hear Larsa has yet to touch base with most of her co-stars so “the ladies have a lot of questions.”
“They seemed so in love. If they got back together, it wouldn’t surprise anyone,” the production source shares.
People was the first to report the news of their split.
Rumors that there was trouble in paradise kickstarted when Larsa, 49, scrubbed Marcus, 33, from her social media pages and unfollowed him on Instagram. She also asked fans in a poll on her Instagram, “Should your friends unfollow your ex?”
Larsa also posted a cryptic quote on her Instagram Story on Monday about choosing one’s partner “wisely.”
“The man you choose to be your partner affects everything in your life,” the quote stated. “Your mental health, your peace of mind, your love inside you, your happiness, how you get through tragedies, your successes, how your children will be raised and much more. Choose wisely.”
Marcus mirrored her actions and deleted all his photos with her from Instagram before unfollowing her as well.
He further hinted at their breakup by posting a photo with his dad to Drake’s song, “First Person Shooter,” in which the lyrics suggest he’s ready to start seeing other women.
“I search one name, and end up seein’ 20 tings/ Nadine, Christine, Justine, Kathleen, Charlene, Pauline, Claudine/ Man, I pack ’em in this phone like some sardines,” Drake raps in the song.
Things seemed OK between the couple as recently as last month when they celebrated Marcus’ birthday in Miami together.
Larsa and Marcus first sparked dating rumors in September 2022 after being seen out to dinner. Though they initially denied their relationship for several months, they went Instagram-official in January 2023.
Larsa’s rep did not immediately respond to Pvnew’s request for comment.
