More clues as to what’s possibly driven a wedge between Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are continuing to emerge.
The “Game of Thrones” alum admitted last year that she was homesick and trying desperately to move her family to the United Kingdom.
“I miss England so much,” the actress, 27, told Elle UK in May 2022. “The people, the attitude, everything. I’m slowly dragging my husband back.”
Though she claimed she “love[d] living in America,” Turner attributed her wish to relocate to her “mental health.”
“I have to be around my friends and my family,” she explained.
The blond beauty and the Jonas Brothers frontman, 34, are parents to two daughters: Willa, 3, and a 1-year-old whose name they have yet to announce.
Turner — who revealed she was pregnant with her second during the Elle interview — told the magazine that her desired move across the pond would be for her children, too.
“I would love [Willa] to get the education and school life that I was so lucky to have,” she shared. “England would ideally be the final destination, but [Joe] might take quite a bit of convincing!”
Turner noted that the difference in lifestyle was an additional draw, adding, “My parents’ house is the epitome of the English countryside — horses, sheep, cows…”
Pvnew confirmed on Saturday that Turner and Jonas — who tied the knot in the summer of 2019 — are heading for divorce.
“Joe is exploring the best options for his future,” an insider told us, with TMZ and People claiming similarly that the musician had met with and even retained a divorce attorney. According to TMZ, the couple has been experiencing “serious problems” in their relationship for six months.
What you need to know about Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner's split
Joe Jonas filed for divorce from wife Sophie Turner on Sept. 5, 2023, after four years of marriage.
The couple have two children together.
A source claims the pair had “many disagreements,” and the divorce was a “last resort” for Jonas.
Jonas is seeking “shared parental responsibility” with his estranged wife.
The children are said to live primarily with Jonas, and the singer is said to be caring for them “pretty much all the time.”
Turner’s penchant for partying is believed to have factored into the split, and a source said the pair have “very different lifestyles.”
Turner is suing Jonas to return their two daughters to England.
The actress claims she found out her estranged husband filed for divorce “through the media.“
Jonas blasted the lawsuit, saying it goes against an “amicable co-parenting setup.”
Sources told the outlet that Jonas has been caring for their youngsters “pretty much all of the time” — even while touring with his brothers-turned-bandmates, Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas.
Though Turner, who has been working on a TV series in the UK, was seen dancing in the crowd at Yankee Stadium for the opening night of the Jonas Brothers’ tour last month, she seemingly stopped attending shows — until news of trouble in paradise broke.
The “Dark Phoenix” star was notably in attendance at the band’s Austin, Texas, concert on Sunday, during which Joe sang “Hesitate,” a love song he wrote for her.
Similarly, the “Sucker” crooner has been spotted without his wedding ring on several tour stops but decided to make sure the significant jewelry was front and center both during his latest show and in his most recent Instagram snap.
Though neither has commented publicly on the status of their marriage, Turner and Joe did sell their Miami mansion last month — just one year after purchasing it. Pvnew has reached out to their reps for comment.
