Amanda Seyfried got candid about a ’90s beauty trend she wishes she would’ve skipped.
“I egregiously over-plucked my eyebrows in high school for them never to return in full,” the “Crowded Room” star admitted to Glamour in an interview published Friday.
Seyfried will most likely not hop on any new brow trends. When asked about her biggest beauty ick, she responded, “Supergluing your eyebrows. Ouch.”
However, taking care of her brows is a top beauty priority for the actress, as she admitted that the one thing she’ll keep in her routine for the rest of her life is using Lancôme’s Brow Define pencil ($28).
“My brows are also just a little bit too blonde to see sometimes,” she said. “Highlighting — and appreciating — the features I already have is the key.”
Aside from ensuring her brows are in top shape, the “Mama Mia” actress, 37, also spends 10 minutes of her day brightening up her face with Lancôme’s Le 8 Hypnôse mascara ($33) and Lancôme’s L’Absolu Rouge Drama lipstick ($35).
Seyfried isn’t the only actress who recently got candid about her eyebrow regrets.
Earlier this week, Charlize Theron revealed if she could go back in time, she’d stop herself from hoping on the same trend.
When asked about her biggest beauty regret in an interview with InStyle, the “Fast X” star, 48, responded, “Hands down, the thin eyebrow from the ’90s.”
“I’m still recovering from that,” she added.
Along with Seyfried and Theron, other A-list celebs that hopped on the thin-brow bandwagon were Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Alba and Kate Moss.
But as they say, trends tend to follow a “20-year rule,” and it appears arched brows are making a comeback as model Bella Hadid was recently spotted with pencil-thin brows.
