Clara McGregor recalled an “uncomfortable” time when she had to watch her dad Ewan McGregor’s nude scenes in her high school class.
“When I was a senior in high school I took a gender studies class,” she began during an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” with her dad, who covered his face with his hand, Wednesday.
“My teacher came up to me near the end of the semester and was like, ‘Listen, there’s a movie that I usually teach, it’s part of the curriculum, your dad is in it. There is some nudity so I wanted to run it by you before we watched it in class.'”
The “Birthday Cake” star, 28, said that she told the teacher it was “fine” and didn’t think too much more about the subject.
“And so we watched the movie called ‘The Pillow Book’ —which is a brilliant film,” she added.
“But watching that movie at 17 with your entire high school class, it’s more like they’re watching me watch that film, which was definitely interesting.”
After host Jimmy Kimmel asked the “Doctor Sleep” actor if he appeared bare in the film, he replied, “A lot.”
“Full-frontally nude, the whole time,” Clara added.
Ewan, 52, shared that the teacher also reached out to him via email before showing the film to the class.
“I went, ‘Look, I wouldn’t want to be the reason you don’t show that movie to your kids because it’s a beautiful movie,'” he recalled.
“But I said, ‘You have to guarantee that the kids are mature enough not to make fun of Clara or make her feel bad about it.'”
Although no one teased her, Clara said the entire thing “was uncomfortable.”
“I think they also probably felt a little uncomfortable,” she admitted.
Aside from Clara, Ewan is also dad to Esther, 22, Jamyan, 22, and Anouk, 12, with ex-wife Eve Mavrakis, whom he was married to from 1995 to 2020.
In 2016, the “Moulin Rouge” star met his current wife, Mary Elizabeth Winstead — four years before his divorce from Mavrakis — on Season 3 of “Fargo.”
Winstead, 39, and Ewan played each other’s love interests on the hit FX series.
The couple wed in April 2022 after welcoming son Laurie in June 2021.
Clara previously called Winstead “a piece of trash” amid rumors that her father cheated on her mom.
She later told the Times in August 2018 that her comments weren’t “the most mature way to go about things,” but she was “angry and upset.”
“There had been a lot building up to it and a lot to deal with — not to make excuses or anything — but, yeah, it wasn’t my finest moment,” the actress confessed.
