Philadelphia Eagles star Lane Johnson said teammate and friend Jason Kelce couldn’t be happier for brother Travis Kelce amid his romance with Taylor Swift.
Johnson — who was nominated for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award — told Pvnew at the NFL Honors Thursday that Swift got Jason’s approval after meeting her last month at the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Buffalo Bills.
“I guess from what he said [she] is very nice,” the offensive tackle, 33, told us. “A very nice woman and obviously makes Trav happy and I think that’s all he really cares about.”
Jason shared similar sentiments during the Pro Bowl last week, joking that his “brother and his love life is definitely the topic of the NFL right now.”
“My whole thing with that is as long as Trav is happy and enjoying life, I’m happy and enjoying life,” Jason said.
“I’ve been fortunate to meet Taylor now. She’s [an] awesome, down-to-earth, genuine person, which has been great to see, whenever you’re seeing anyone of that caliber of stardom still remain as grounded as they are.”
Jason, who is the father of three young daughters, also noted earlier in the weekend that Swift is the perfect “role model for all the young girls out there.”
The legendary center’s first time meeting the “Cruel Summer” singer is hard to forget.
Just hours after meeting Swift in a suite at Highmark Stadium in Buffalo, Jason now-famously ripped off his shirt to celebrate a Chiefs touchdown with the opposing team’s fans.
Swift, 34, looked shocked as she watched her potential brother-in-law ditch his top, stand on the window sill and yell at the crowd.
Although Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce, was not a fan of his antics, Swift was apparently all for it. Video from the game shows the singer egging Jason on as he walks through the suite shirtless.
Travis later confirmed on the brothers’ “New Heights” podcast that the 14-time Grammy winner “said she absolutely loved” Jason.
While Jason, Kylie and parents Donna and Ed are all expected to be at the Super Bowl alongside Swift this weekend, it’s unclear where they will be sitting as suites for the big game were selling for as much as $3 million.
Meanwhile, Patrick Mahomes’ mom, Randi, told us on the red carpet Thursday that she and daughter-in-law, Brittany Mahomes, will be sitting in a suite with their “immediate family.”

If the Kelce clan were unable to snag a suite of their own, they likely would have plenty of options — including the Johnson family, who owns the New York Jets.
Woody Johnson and his wife, Suzanne, gushed about the popstar while chatting with Pvnew about hosting the “Anti-Hero” singer in their suite at MetLife Stadium in October when Swift watched Kelce play against the Jets.
Their son Jack snagged a photo with the singer, whom he described as “so sweet and genuine.”
“She is really taking over the world,” the teen said of Swift. “Just with her impact on all these young girls who listen to her music. It’s really powerful what she is doing.”
