Bill and Hillary Clinton celebrated Easter Sunday “in the buffet line with everybody else” at the Peninsula hotel in NYC according to a spy.
The Secret Service did a sweep of the place 30 minutes before the former first family arrived with daughter Chelsea, her husband Marc Mezvinsky and their children, we’re told.
The Clintons hit the buffet as soon as they were settled.
“It was really fun to see. They all went up there like the rest of us, and there was, like, a carving station with prime rib, a whole fish… and then a dessert station,” the source said.
The effervescent former president schmoozed and took pics with guests at the hotel’s Clement restaurant as, “Hillary kind of breezed by everyone,” the source said.
The former Secretary of State, however, was feeling nostalgic: She posted a throwback photo of her and Bill celebrating Easter at the White House in 1994.
“Wishing a happy Easter to everyone celebrating,” she captioned the image.
We’re told their grandkids “looked cute” picking out desserts. “Everybody looked great,” the source said.
Meanwhile, Clinton’s Secret Service detail informed him that the Archbishop of New York, Timothy Cardinal Dolan, was nearby in a private room with church officials.
Sources overheard Bill asking his security, “Does Cardinal Dolan know that I’m here?”
He then walked in and they chatted for about 10 minutes before Bill rejoined his family.
