You better work, bitch.
Britney Spears’ estranged husband, Sam Asghari, is currently out of a job after filing for divorce from the pop star, a source tells Pvnew.
We’re told the actor is a member of the labor union SAG-AFTRA, which went on strike earlier this summer over an ongoing dispute with production companies.
Asghari wrapped filming on his only upcoming project, the Paul Feig-directed comedy flick “Grand Death Lotto,” weeks before the first actors’ strike in 43 years commenced.
The former personal trainer also has a small role in the Paramount+ series “Special Ops: Lioness,” which he shot at the top of the year. The show began streaming in July with little fanfare after the strike caused its red carpet premiere to be canceled.
“Sam is still looking for his big break,” our insider grouses.
His manager did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Pvnew confirmed earlier this month that Asghari, 29, had left Spears, 41, after just one year of marriage.
We later exclusively reported that the fitness model was “attempting to negotiate concessions beyond his prenup and threatening to go public with extraordinarily embarrassing information about Britney unless he gets paid.”
“So that’s what Sam is focused on,” a source sniped.
However, Asghari’s manager insisted the claims were “false” and that the actor “has always and will always support” Spears, from whom he is seeking spousal support.
While Asghari has been unable to work amid his divorce, the Grammy-winning singer remains booked and busy.
Spears’ highly anticipated memoir, “The Woman in Me,” is still on track to hit stores on Oct. 24, and Pvnew broke the news that she is also planning her first album since 2016.
“She has an upcoming writers camp and is getting songs from some big artists,” an insider recently told us, adding that the entertainer “is in really great spirits despite everything going on.”
