Feeling confused as hell.
Fans were left wondering why Lizzo was present at the 2024 Grammys after being sued by her former dancers for sexual harassment.
The “Truth Hurts” singer, 35, took the stage at Crypto Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday to present the award for best R&B song to SZA for “Snooze.”
“What’s up, everybody? Here’s the Grammy Award that’s gone to the all-time greats, from Stevie Wonder to Prince to Alicia Keys to Beyoncé. These are our soulfully gifted nominees for best R&B song,” she said before announcing her friend as the recipient of the honor.
While SZA proudly accepted the award from the embattled flutist with a warm and ecstatic hug, viewers at home voiced their confusion over Lizzo’s presence at the star-studded show amid her controversy.
“Lizzo still able to present awards when she was out here wildin is crazy,” one person tweeted.
“I thought I’d see Tupac before I’d ever see Lizzo again #GRAMMYs,” a second joked, referencing the late rapper.
“So…..whatever happened to the Lizzo allegations???? They just went away or???? And now she’s at the Grammys like nothing happened?” a third person asked.
“Why is Lizzo here, didn’t she have like horrible allegations against her,” another wondered.
“Lizzo back on the scene after that scandal?” one more questioned.
One fan even called out the Recording Academy, writing, “Shoutout to the Grammys for allowing Lizzo to present an award mid sexual assault charges! Great work guys! #NoAccountabilitySociety.”
However, others saw no issue with Lizzo’s appearance and enjoyed seeing her announce her “Special” collaborator as a winner.
“The embrace between SZA and Lizzo is the epitome of how Black women will always love on each other and encourage each other and have your back when no one else will,” a supporter wrote on X.

“Seeing SZA & Lizzo embrace was beautiful. SZA has gone through so much in the industry. Snooze was an amazing song on an amazing album. That was a loaded category. I love how authentic she is. I love seeing Black women winning and loving on each other,” another fan echoed.
Lizzo, who showed off her recent weight loss in a custom black leather gown by Luis De Javier, was later seen sitting with SZA in the audience during the awards show.
Last August, Lizzo was hit with multiple allegations after three of her former backup dancers accused the “about Damn Time” artist of sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment.
Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez claimed in their lawsuit that Lizzo had forced them to attend and participate in a sex show in Amsterdam and made weight-shaming comments.
In September, Lizzo was sued again for allegedly making racist and fatphobic remarks.
The musician has maintained her innocence and asked the Los Angeles Superior Court to toss the first suit.
Last October, Pvnew reported that 18 of Lizzo’s current staffers signed a declaration disputing the scathing accusations of her ex-dancers.
Lizzo has since slowly made her way back onto the scene amid the drama.
