Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas were photographed grabbing lunch together just two days before she sued him for the return of their children to her home country, England.
In photos obtained by TMZ, the Jonas Brothers member and the “Game of Thrones” actress sat across from each other with their two daughters at Momofuku Noodle Bar Uptown in New York City on Monday.
In one of the pics, Jonas could be seen fixated on the mother of his children as she fed their 1-year-old daughter, whose name has not yet been revealed. Willa, their 3-year-old, sat on Turner’s other side.
In another snap, Jonas and Turner had switched spots as she carried Willa in her arms.
An eyewitness told the outlet Friday that there were “zero signs of drama between the two and everything seemed amicable.”
However, it’s unclear if the family of four arrived together and who had the children prior to the lunch date.
Just a few days after the seemingly pleasant interaction, Turner filed a lawsuit against her estranged husband, 34, requesting “the immediate return of children wrongfully removed or wrongfully retained” on Thursday.
The “X-Men” actress, 27, accused the “Waffle House” singer of withholding their children’s passports since Sept. 20.
“The Father has possession of the children’s passports,” documents obtained by Pvnew read. “He refuses to return the passports to the Mother and refuses to send the children home to England with the Mother.”
Turner further claimed that she and Jonas had agreed to make England their “forever home” over Christmas 2022 and moved to a home in the English countryside in April 2023.
What you need to know about Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner's split
Joe Jonas filed for divorce from wife Sophie Turner on Sept. 5, 2023, after four years of marriage.
The couple have two children together.
A source claims the pair had “many disagreements,” and the divorce was a “last resort” for Jonas.
Jonas is seeking “shared parental responsibility” with his estranged wife.
The children are said to live primarily with Jonas, and the singer is said to be caring for them “pretty much all the time.”
Turner’s penchant for partying is believed to have factored into the split, and a source said the pair have “very different lifestyles.”
Turner is suing Jonas to return their two daughters to England.
The actress claims she found out her estranged husband filed for divorce “through the media.“
Jonas blasted the lawsuit, saying it goes against an “amicable co-parenting setup.”
However, their plans got complicated when she began filming a miniseries and he embarked on his Jonas Brothers tour, so they agreed on a “temporary” arrangement to let the kids travel with their father.
The bombshell lawsuit also stated that Turner “found out through the media” that Jonas had filed for divorce less than a month after an argument on Aug. 15.
Jonas quickly shut down his estranged wife’s claims and denied that he “abducted” the kids.
“This is an unfortunate legal disagreement about a marriage that is sadly ending,” his rep told Pvnew on Thursday. “When language like ‘abduction’ is used, it is misleading at best, and a serious abuse of the legal system at worst.
The “Year 3000” singer had shockingly filed for divorce on Sept. 5 after four years of marriage. The exes began dating in 2016 and got engaged in October 2017.
