Rachel “Raquel” Leviss claims her ex Tom Sandoval made her feel guilty for seeking help for her mental health after the fallout from their infamous affair dubbed Scandoval.
The “Vanderpump Rules” alum, 29, recalled in Thursday’s episode of her “Rachel Goes Rogue” podcast the “amount of times” Sandoval, 41, allegedly called her “selfish” while she was at the Meadows, a treatment facility in Arizona.
“[He said] that I’m running away from my problems and that I’m dependent on this place that’s basically an assisted living facility — like, really guilt-tripping me and saying that I left him to deal with all the fodder and I’m just running away,” Leviss claimed.
However, a source close to Sandoval tells Pvnew that the “Pump Rules” OG “did not guilt trip” Leviss.
“He missed her and cared for her well-being,” the insider adds.
The source points out that while Leviss was getting therapy, Sandoval was out in the real world dealing with the aftermath of their scandalous affair.
“[Leviss] disappeared and closed herself off from the world by going into the treatment center. Tom took it all head-on,” the insider says.
“[He] dealt with the paparazzi, dealt with fans hating him, faced people he hurt. He respected and wanted her to take care of her mental health. They simply dealt with things differently.”
Leviss also shared on her podcast that the former flames — who decided to continue seeing each other for some time after Sandoval cheated on his girlfriend of nine years, Ariana Madix, with the ex-beauty queen — “scheduled phone times” to keep in communication.
However, Levis claimed the Tom Sandoval & The Most Extras frontman would be livid when she missed any of the calls.
“If I didn’t reach out to him one day or two days, he would be upset by it and really kind of take out his frustration on me, and so it made me feel like I had a responsibility to maintain his emotional needs,” she said in the episode.
The source close to Sandoval says in response that the reality star would “look forward” to his daily calls with Leviss, as it was “the only time they could talk,” adding, “So, of course, it ruined his day if he didn’t hear from her. “
Sandoval and Leviss officially called it quits in May 2023, two months after their romance first became public.
“Raquel dipped out. Sandoval is not the one for her,” an insider confirmed to Pvnew at the time.
Despite the split, Sandoval wished Leviss a “happy birthday” publicly on Instagram in September 2023, adding at the time, “Miss u friend.”
The move was not well-received. The former Miss California contestant blocked the TomTom co-owner on Instagram and shared a GIF that said, “OK bye!”
Leviss shared why she wants nothing to do with Sandoval now, saying on her podcast that his actions while she was at the Meadows showed her “the type of person that he is.”
“Knowing how important mental health has become in my life and how much of a priority that is to me, there’s no question that Tom and I will never, ever be friends again,” she added.
It does not appear that Leviss has engaged in a new relationship since moving on from Sandoval, but he recently debuted his new romance with Leonardo DiCaprio’s ex Victoria Lee Robinson.
