Ariana Madix can’t help but gush about her and Daniel Wai’s romance.
“He’s a very grounding, calming, positive energy,” Madix said on Friday’s episode of Dear Media’s “Scheananigans With Scheana Shay” podcast. “He’s very like, always trying to help with things.”
The “Vanderpump Rules” star praised her personal trainer beau for refusing to take no for an answer when helping her out with mundane tasks — for example, calling a credit card company.
“He’s like, ‘I’m gonna call them. I know you wanna do everything yourself, but I’m gonna just go ahead and do it,'” she told BFF Scheana Shay.
The 38-year-old played coy about their relationship’s next steps but did tease her plans to continue “going towards things that are positive.”
She hinted, “so I’m just gonna keep doing what makes me happy and going in that direction.
“He is someone who does bring a whole lot of happiness and really just calming, positive energy to my life, so I’m gonna keep him around,” the Something about Her co-creator continued.
Shay, also 38, chimed in to say she is “obsessed” with Wai, calling him “another light of positivity” in Madix’s life.
“I can’t even picture this guy in a bad mood ever,” Shay explained. “Like, he’s just that person where you feel like, ‘Are you always happy?’ Because he always just has the best energy wants to make sure everyone else is having the best time.”
Shay added that, unlike Madix’s “past relationships,” she has seen her co-star and Wai “bring out the best in each other.”
“You’re with someone for the first time — that I’ve personally ever seen — who supports you, who’s happy to help you and empower you and also take a backseat and just f–king let you shine,” she noted.
The “Good As Gold” singer subsequently asked her fellow cast member about the future of their “a long-distance relationship,” since Wai lives in New York City while Madix is located in Los Angeles.
“It’s hard to predict, like, even just work-wise what’s gonna come up in the next year or so,” Madix replied. “I would love it if he moved out here, but he’s born and raised in New York, so I can understand how that would be a huge adjustment. His family is there, and I wouldn’t wanna take him away.”
However, she said that “moving back to New York … sounds – oh, God, so much harder” for her.
Madix’s relationship with Wai marks the first time she’s dated someone since dumping longtime partner Tom Sandoval in March after discovering his months-long affair with Raquel Leviss.
She and Wai met at a wedding in Mexico not long after Sandoval and Leviss’ dalliance — aka Scandoval — came to light.
The duo haven’t been shy about sharing their relationship milestones on social media in recent months, from spending Madix’s birthday together and partying on the Fourth of July to wearing matching shoes on a trip to Chicago.
